The Beauty of God's Creation in Texas!

 Last week we got back from a wonderful time in Texas attending a friend's wedding and visiting with friends!  I will be posting about the trip this week sometime, but today I wanted to share with you some flower photos I took while down there! :)  One of the families we stayed with while we were down there had so many wonderful flowers in their back yard and of course I just had to capture them with the camera!  :)  God's creation is so diverse and wonderful!

"Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts as in your ignorance;

 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written  "Be holy, for I am holy."

 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,

This flower is called Bottle Brush.  It does look a lot like a bottle brush, only much prettier. ;)

but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

He indeed was foreordained before the foundations of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

The roses from the wedding were so beautiful!

who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory so that your faith and hope are in God."
~1 Peter 1:13-21~

I am so glad we who are saved have been redeemed from our aimless conduct!  There is purpose in life!  God's love is truly amazing!  It has been a blessing to focus on these verse as I have been working on memorizing them and I hope they are an encouragement to you.

Beautiful photos and words from God's word!

I'm hosting my weekly homemaking link-up beginning early Friday morning and running through Sunday night. I'd love it if you linked up! It can be anything related to homemaking: recipes, crafts, decorating, encouraging words, stuff you did today, etc. There's a button on my blog that you can grab to remind you each week!

I just read those verses over twice! they are so rich! Let us flee our aimless conduct and strive for holiness! That's a tall order, but we are redeemed by His blood from before time :) Awesome truth and hard to grasp. Thank you for sharing your incredible photography today, too! Glad you had such a wonderful time in TX! Also, I see you know the Verret family from Houston (Lacie friended my daughter Rebecca and we saw some photos). We just met them last weekend :0
Love you all in Jesus!
