Amazing ~ A Great Word For Last Year

It's sunny and peaceful outside as I sit here at my laptop typing. I have enjoyed living in the country, raising animals, gardening, mowing, going for walks down our gravel road, etc.  But life will soon be changing for our family.

Our house sold last month and we will be moving within the next couple weeks.  Moving is a bittersweet time.  But it causes me to think on a deeper level about the people God has brought into my life through the years.  And I am overwhelmed with gratefulness!  So many memories.  So much to be thankful for.

We sold the last of our goats last month.  The Lord provided a wonderful buyer!

But even though goodbyes are hard, I am truly looking forward to moving on in the path of life that God has for us.
Going through the process of moving, I've enjoyed trying to thin down on things as I pack my belongings. It's freeing to get rid of stuff, even though it can be hard to figure out what to get rid of at times.  What is really worth keeping when all of these things are so temporary?  God has given us things in this life to use and enjoy, but not to hold tightly to.
This past year, the Lord has shown me more of His amazingness and has caused me to lean on Him more fully.  Through the joys, excitements, and challenges, He has taught me so much! I am filled with gratefulness for all that He has done.  I look forward to continue learning and am excited to see all that God has in store for us in this new year.

Happy New Year to all of you!
