Glorifying God......

"Life is largely a mosaic of little things: routine events, everyday duties, and ordinary conversations.  How we conduct ourselves in these circumstances determines largely whether we glorify God in our lives."
~ Jerry Bridges

I have been reading "The Joy of Fearing God" by Jerry Bridges and the above quote stood out to me.

Everything we do affects others and we are either bringing glory to God or ourselves.  May we be always conscious of who we are living for and why we are here. As the Westminster Shorter Catechism says, "Man's chief end is to glorify God, and enjoy him forever."
Pray as you get up each morning for wisdom and for God-glorifying responses and words in all of the interactions you will have throughout the day.  We can not do it in a God-glorifying way without His wisdom and help.

"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
~ 1 Corinthians 10:31

"The person who fears God seeks to live all of life for the glory of God."
~ Jerry Bridges

"We fear God, or reverence Him, by bringing glory to His name.  To bring glory to His name involves first of all a response to Him, and second a reflection of Him to others." ~ Jerry Bridges

I will probably be posting more quotes from the book in the near future. :)

Wonderful quotes! I have been enriched by reading the writing of Jerry Bridges (I enjoy even more listening to him speak)!
I have a quick question: Which one of you made the scarf that I bought on Etsy? I absolutely love it!
Amy, your cards are even more beautiful in person than on your Etsy site! I love them!
Thanks, again!
